Artemis: The University of Sydney High-Performance Supercomputer

The Artemis Phase 3 expansion continues to make news headlines around the world with its cutting edge technology. The cluster is a 7636-core InfiniBand cluster powered by DELL EMC PowerEdge’s, with an additional 108 NVIDIA V100 GPUs.

The expansion of the University of Sydney’s HPC rolled out in February 2018, and a few months later the investment of $2.3 Million is showing its results. Work performed with Artemis varies across the University and includes understanding the Earth’s dynamical systems, determining the intergalactic distances and speed limits, to investigating how plastic particles move around
