SIH joins EMBL Australia Bioinformatics Resource

We are excited to announce that the Sydney Informatics Hub (SIH) is now one of 13 nodes of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory – Australia Bioinformatics Resource (EMBL-ABR) network. SIH is recognised for its contribution to growing bioinformatics capability for Life Sciences through its involvement in national collaborative research infrastructure and the bioinformatics expertise it has provided towards policy, research, and training.

EMBL Australia Bioinformatics Resource (EMBL-ABR) was set up as a collaboration with the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) to maximise Australia’s bioinformatics capability. This close partnership is made possible in the context of Australia’s associate membership of EMBL.

We welcome researchers and labs at the University of Sydney to join the SIH, University of Sydney node and contribute their bioinformatics expertise, data, platforms, compute, training and tools to this major national collaboration. Contact sih.info@sydney.edu.au for more information.
